With last Friday’s concert, India has entered the International field as the SOI performed in the Fifth Festival of World’s Symphony Orchestras at the Hall of Columns in Moscow. The Moscovite audience, known be very critical and hard to please, enjoyed the performance thoroughly and appreciated the SOI for their quality.
The orchestra was accompanied by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra of Turkey, Seoul Philharmonic, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra of Russia and the National Symphony Orchestra of China. Russia’s Alexander Anissimov conducted the concert.
Kazakh musician and conductor Marat Bisengaliev had a great role in the creation of the SOI. Suntook stated, “In 2003, although, it was a free evening in London, I purchased a ticket only to watch the performance of the Kazakh orchestra. I was very happy at his performance and invited Marat to our country.”
Mr. Marat accepted the invitation and helped to invite quality musicians teachers from Korea, Russia, Japan and Kazakhstan.
In India, the audiences are offered the SOI’s Celebrity Concert Season during each February and August. Andrew Lloyd Webber will charm the audience in the next season (August) with opera and musicals.
