Sweat Lodge Ceremony Deaths Billed As Homicide

sweatArizona, Oct 18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to sources, the infamous “sweat lodge ceremony” has claimed its third victim, Liz Neuman, a 49 year old woman who reportedly succumbed to multiple organ failures on Saturday, after being hospitalized following her participation in the “new age spiritual movement”. Sources revealed that the event organized by author cum motivational speaker James Arthur Ray took place on the 8th of this month at a resort near Sedona, a place best known for drawing people taking part in modern day spiritual rituals.

The investigators have billed the death of Neuman as a possible homicide, although no one has been charged yet. According to the reports, alarm broke out when almost 50 people who were attending the five day long retreat complained of breathing complications. Nearly two dozen people were hospitalized following the alarm. Inside sources revealed that two of them immediately died after being hospitalized regarding health problems. Kirby Brown of Westtown and James Shore of Milwaukee reportedly died after being admitted to the hospital. The death of Liz Neuman on Saturday adds another victim to the list.

Inside sources revealed that the participants of the program had to pay approximately $10,000 so as to attend the five day process in order to achieve “higher consciousness” as promised by their “guru” Mr.Ray. Soon after the participants entered the infamous lodge several of them started complaining of breathing complications.

Sources said that till now no criminal case has been lodged on Mr.Ray. On the other hand, Mr.Ray has declined to speak to the media regarding the entire issue. An autopsy has been conducted according to the investigators, which will reveal the cause of death of the participants.
