She stated that the reactions of her fan over the spit had baffled her since she and Tim were known as one of Hollywood’s most enduring couples.
She shared, “People were coming up to me in the street and saying ‘I cried and cried when I heard.’ Well, I was sadder! I didn’t think it would ever happen, either.”
She went on to explain that her 23 year relationship with Robbins had “run it’s course.” “You bring people into your life at certain times. Maybe you have a relationship to have children and you realize that it’s fulfilled after that point.”
Surandon is 64, and Robbins is 12 years younger. The couple have two sons, Jack Henry and Miles Guthrie, and Susan has a daughter, Eva Amurri.
