Susan Sarandon never thought she would split from Tim Robbins
October 5th, 2010 - 5:22 pm ICT by ANIWashington, Oct 5 (ANI): Actress Susan Sarandon has revealed that she never though that she would split from her long-time partner Tim Robbins.
According to Britain’s Telegraph, Sarandon, 64, said many people that she met thought her relationship with Robbins, 51, would last forever.
“People were coming up to me in the street and saying, ‘I cried and cried when I heard’,” People magazine quoted her as saying.
“Well, I was sadder! I didn’t think it would ever happen, either,” she stated.
The actress also said that the love affair, which began in 1987 on the set of ‘Bull Durham’, had just run its course.
“You bring people into your life at certain times. Maybe you have a relationship to have children, and you realize that it’s fulfilled after that point,” she explained.
“I’ve always liked the idea of choosing to be with somebody.
“I thought that if you didn’t get married, you wouldn’t take each other for granted as easily. I don’t know if after twenty something years that was still true,” she added. (ANI)
