Susan BoyleAug 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Susan Boyle the singing sensation who shot to fame with Britain’s Got Talent is now facing controversy that has left her as well as the X Factor team in deep water. It has been claimed that the first performance of the Scottish origin singer was tweaked digitally to woo the viewers. The X factor admitted in recent times that the voices of several participants have been tweaked digitally to hide the faults. This happens during the audition. An industry insider has said on the condition of anonymity that an identical technique was adopted for the other Simon Cowell hosted reality show named Britain’s Got Talent. The insider also said that it is kind of an open secret in showbiz which everyone knows quite well but keeps under wraps.

It is quite well known that the audition of Susan Boyle was seen by at least 120 million people on the popular video sharing site YouTube and she shot to fame. Now the sources are claiming that her voice was given a digital makeover during the post production stage. The revelation has come as a shocker for the fans of the singer who had never imagined that there could be some digital tweaking behind the mesmerizing voice.

The producers of the reality shows is trying to play it safe and has said that while sound filtering is used as an industry standard it does not always interfere with the vocal quality of a singer. The singer herself has not remarked on the issue so far but the revelation has given the gossip mongers and page 3 papers a lot to spread stories around.

    They’ve admitted to using it on X-Factor and BGT routinely, meaning they also used it on Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, Paul Potts, Joe McElderry, all of them.
    It’s probably used on American Idol too.
    One more reason why I can’t understand that people actually watch this garbage.
