The waves that Susan Boyle is creating are simply amazing. The 48 year old singer who is now considered to be the latest internet sensation has gathered all the accolades from her judges at Britain’s Got Talent with her performance on Sunday. She provided a soulful rendition of the Cat’s number Memory. Probably her greatest achievement was eliciting an apology from the show’s judge, Simon Cowell.

At the end of her performance, Simon Cowell said, “Susan, you are one special lady I have to say, you really are. … And you know what, I just want to apologize because of the way we treated you before you sang the first time, you have made me and everyone else look very stupid and I’m very happy for you, very proud of you.” She also received a standing ovation and she told the presenters, Dec and Ant, “…it was absolutely unbelievable.” Piers Morgan said, “Susan, I thought you looked absolutely beautiful tonight. When the world was going through a pretty tough time, along came Susan Boyle.”

Susan’s fans will know that with her first audition performance she received more than 100 million hits in YouTube. Yesterday’s performance made it possible for Susan Boyle to reach the finals. The Scottish spinster who is lovingly referred to as Hairy Angel won with a wide margin and was way ahead of the other competitors of Britain’s Got Talent. She was the first performer to win the semi finals that was televised live. Susan seemed to be shocked by the public response and she performed a jiggle for ‘Piersy baby,’ judge Piers Morgan.
