Susan Boyle to get honorary doctorate
June 30th, 2012 - 4:58 am ICT by IANSLondon, June 30 (IANS) Singer Susan Boyle will be honoured with a doctorate from a university in her native Scotland.
The star, who shot to fame after appearing in “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2009, will be feted by officials at Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret University, where she studied for a certificate in care.
According to Daily Record newspaper, Boyle will be conferred with a doctorate for her contribution to creative industries. The ceremony will be held July 6, reports dailystar.co.uk.
