Susan Boyle shouldn’t win Britain’s Got Talent, says Jennifer Ellison
May 29th, 2009 - 5:55 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 29 (ANI): Actress Jennifer Ellison feels Susan Boyle shouldn’t win Britain’s Got Talent.
The 25-year-old star says she thinks Boyle’s popularity is down to ’shock factor’ rather than the quality of her voice.
“I think she’s fantastic but I can’t believe that she’s been so huge and so massive in America,” the Mirror quoted Ellison as saying.
“It’s just a bit mad really - I don’t think she should win. I think it was the shock factor with her, you know, from the reaction of the audience that they thought she was going to be horrendous, then there was that voice came out of her.
“I think it was definitely more the shock value than the talent actually,” she added.
Popstar Lily Allen echoed the same, saying she thought Boyle was overrated.
She wrote on her Twitter page: “She seems like a lovely lady, but if the show is about talent then that Shaheen kid should win.”
