Susan Boyle recovering well from anxiety attackJune 4th, 2009 - 7:41 pm ICT by GD
Susan Boyle is fast recovering from the bout of anxiety disorder she has been suffering from since last Sunday. The Scottish singer is said to be responding well to the treatment at the Priory Clinic.
Boyle was whisked away by the paramedics to the mental treatment center when she was found wandering around her hotel looking lost and dazed. Boyle finished second runner up in the reality show “Britain’s got Talent”, whose finale was held on Saturday night.
The tremendous pressure and the final despair could have led to the severe anxiety disorder. The staff of the show called in the police to report Boyle’s state. Gerry Boyle, Susan’s older brother stated that since “Britain’s got Talent” happened to her, she has been on a roller-coaster ride. She might not have been able to anticipate the hype and the stress that would come with her participation in the event.
The exhaustion, both physical and mental, led to her collapse. Piers Morgan, judge of the talent show and a staunch supporter of Boyle said that the world wide recognition and craze had rocked her mental equilibrium. She is expected to handle it all better now as she is slowly coming to terms with it.
Celebritycafe.com reports that Boyle would like to get ahead with recording and try and pursue a full fledged career in the music industry. It all depends on how much pressure she can handle. How much of it can she survive?
On Tuesday, Cowell’s spokesperson is reported to have said that “Britain’s Got Talent” creator Simon Cowell is planning on giving a helping hand to Boyle to launch her music career.
