Apr 01 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Susan Boyle has recently cashed in on the first royalty check from her smash hit debut album, “I Dreamed A Dream.” How much was this worth? Well how does 6.1 million dollars sound to ya? And cashing in on it just a few weeks before her 49th birthday is awesome. She is proof that it is never too late to start a career. It has barely been a year since her Youtube tape which brought tears to the eyes of millions of watchers. According to a spokeswoman for Simon Cowell’s record label, SyCo, it has been confirmed to Forbes Magazine that the first check has come in and many more are to come.

The sudden star has not spent any of her money on lavish things for herself as of yet. She still lives in the same little state provided council house in Blackburn, Scotland with her cat, “Pebbles.” It is unknown exactly how much money the singer acquired when she first signed on to sing with SyCo. SyCo refused to comment on the amount and Susan has not disclosed it either.

So what did Susan get for her birthday? She is celebrating in Japan, and had a small party with a few gifts. According to sources, she recently saw a gorgeous bracelet in a magazine, and made the comment, “Gosh, imagine owning something like that.” Well, as you have probably guessed, that bracelet was among the presents she received for her birthday today.

Simon Cowell had tracked the bracelet down, to Harrod’s. He purchased the item, for nine thousand dollars, and gave it to Susan for her gift. Apparently she loved it, a source said: “She couldn’t believe her eyes and burst into tears.”
