London, Mar 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sensational singer Susan Boyle has hit back at comedian Ricky Gervais for calling her “mong.” To Boyle, replying to the insults of Gervais will be a waste of time.

In a recent comedy, Gervais was referring to Boyle when he said that, “She would not be where she is today if it wasn’t for the fact that she looked like such a f*****g mong. When she first came on the telly, I went, Is that a mong?”

The comment received several complaints from viewers. Boyle told the Sun that, “I can take whatever Ricky says, because I’ll tell you something - he’s the one with the problem, not me. Ricky’s a talented man but he’s wasted himself with those comments. I think people who liked him are not so keen now.”

Gervais have defended the comment. He said he has used the word “mong” several times but has never used it to mean Down Syndrome.

When addressing the issue, Boyle failed to acknowledge the explanation that Gervais said. Instead, she said that this is not the first time that she has endured insults. According to her, since she came second at the 2009 Britain’s Got Talent show, she has received several insults and has always ignored them.
