London, May 30 (ANI): Susan Boyle has her late mother to thank for her phenomenal success on Britain’s Got Talent.
The singing sensation, 48, said her mum, who passed away two years ago aged 91, has been her muse and strength for getting her as far as in the finals.
“I believe in heaven and that my mother is watching,” the Telegraph quoted her as saying in an interview with the Daily Mail.
The Scottish church singer further said that she had been practicing her chords ever since childhood.
She said: “My mother used to sing around the house a lot, especially when she was working. So it’s a habit I sort of picked up from her.
“I was a kind of slow learner, so singing was a good way of hiding behind that, and boosting my confidence.”
Susan came one step closer to winning the title after reaching the finals with her stunning version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats song Memory.
A staggering 13.6million viewers had tuned into ITV1 to watch the songbird perform in the recent semi-finals while more than a million visited YouTube to see her latest performance.
The star since her jaw dropping audition has won fans all over the globe, including US President Barack Obama and Hollywood couple Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher. (ANI)
