May 24th, 2009 - 2:22 pm ICT by ANILondon, May 24 (ANI): Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has advanced into the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, putting her one step closer to the title.
Boyle, who rose to fame after belting out ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ from Les Miserables on the programme, was one of 40 acts selected by judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden to continue in the competition.
Boyle will kick off the first of five semi-finals on Sunday, going up against seven other acts, reports the Telegraph.
Two acts from the five semi-finals will then be voted by the judges and viewers through to the finale, scheduled to air next Saturday on Britain’s ITV network.
They are all competing for the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show and a 100,000 pounds cheque. (ANI)
