July 21, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Finally, Surya and Jyothika named their newly born son as Dev. The naming ceremony was a simple affair as the celebrated couple didn’t opt for grand fiestas. This happens to be a special occasion as Surya’s younger sister Brinda also named her baby boy.

Surya and Jyothika entered into wedlock on September 11, 2006 and became parents of a beautiful daughter Diya in 2007. And now, they have become a perfect family with the arrival of the new baby. This has made the entire family so jubilant.

While name of Surya and Jyothika’s daughter, “Diya’, relates to light, “Dev’ literally means “a divine being’.
