Surya declines about Sinhalese project
November 6th, 2009 - 10:16 pm ICT by sampurnActor Surya was reported to have signed for a Sri Lankan movie that turned to be a sensational talk across the town. Indeed, it stirred up a kind of frustration amongst his fans since the actor had earlier protests against Sri Lankan government for torturing Eelam Tamilians.
Instantly, as the actor got to know about the rumours, he addressed his statement saying that it’s a baseless rumour.
Adding more, the actor said, “It was really shocking for me to read such a distorted article about me working for a Sri Lankan film. As of now, I am very much busy with three projects– Hari’s “Singam’, Ram Gopal Varma’s “Raktha Charithra’ and A.R. Murugadoss’ untitled next and will be occupied till the end of 2010…”
Sources have stated that such stories might have been deliberately fabricated as a sort of retaliation of Surya’s speech at Nadigar Sangam protest meet.
