iPad May 14 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Supermodel Bar Refaeli got herself into a bit of a mess when she arrived in Israel with a new iPad in her suitcase, but forgot to declare it at customs, according to The Huffington Post. Any purchase which is worth over two hundred dollars and bought in the land of Israel is supposed to be reported to authorities by law. Since there was a ban in iPads in the country until two weeks ago, the high tech item definitely caught the attention of the Israelis.

According to Bar, the whole incident is just a misunderstanding. She shared with an Israeli television station that the iPad was placed in her suitcase and got lost in transit. She was only home for a quick commercial appearance and forgot to declare the costly item.

This is not the first time Bar caused controversy on her native land of Israel. She was also publicized there for avoiding the Israeli compulsory military and not paying taxes on her modeling career. She will have to pay a fine of $170 to get the iPad back, which is probably no problem for her.
