London, Mar 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The British newspaper Sunday Times has reported that Kate Middleton’s wedding dress would be designed by the fashion designer, Alexander McQueen.

The newspaper claimed that the chief executive of the fashion outfit has told a colleague about the contract. The report says Middleton fell in love with the bridal designs of Sarah Burton and that is the reason why McQueen was awarded the contract. The reported further claimed that Sarah has started the design of the dress.

Well that has turned out to be totally false. All the parties involved including the Clarence House have denied the report. The CEO of McQueen Jonathan Akeroyd has completely denied knowledge of any such arrangements. Sarah Burton herself said that she was not designing the dress and was shocked with the claims.

The strongest denial came from a spokesperson of McQueen. The spokesperson said that, “Sarah is busy working on her new collection for the Tuesday show and she was as surprised as the rest of us to hear about this. She is not designing the dress.”

The royal wedding is scheduled for the 29th of April. The choice of Middleton’s wedding designer is not expected to be out until at least the wedding day.
