Sufjan Stevens suffered a nervous breakdown

Los Angeles, May 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Sufjan Stevens in a recent piece revealed that he suffered nervous breakdown while he was watching the 2009 movie “The Fantastic Mr. Fox.” He was quoted in the Observer saying that he eventually had to take Xanax in the middle of watching the movie.

“The Fantastic Mr. Fox” was directed by Wes Anderson and it was released in 2009. Anderson is also responsible for the movie “Black Swan” which was highly successful in 2010. Stevens said he experienced sensory overload while he was watching the movie. He said he has since watched the movie again and was relieved when nothing happened. He vividly remembers details of the first experience that he had while watching the movie.

On watching the movie for the first time, Stevens revealed said he felt it “was really supernatural. It was like I was possessed.” He explained the feelings of having pins in his feet and hands and said he experienced sharp adrenaline surge in his chest.

Stevens said the incident caused him to halt working on his latest album. The album was eventually released in 2010 after much delay. He has since recovered from the condition and has announced that he will go on a tour in Europe this month.
