Sudeep praised in Rann

Feb 2, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kannada actor Sudeep is creating waves in Bollywood with his portrayal of Jai Malik, the son of a media baron (played by Amitabh Bachchan), in Ram Gopal Varma’s “Rann’.
Sudeep has been appreciated and praised for his performance in the film. While this isn’t his first time doing a Bollywood film (the last one being “Phoonk’), he had a lot more scope to prove his acting abilities in “Rann’. He has stood shoulder-to-shoulder with big names like Amitabh Bachchan and Paresh Rawal and made his presence felt.
“Rann’ is an insight into the corrupt media that is in league with the corrupt politicians and industrialists. It also underlines the fact that the media tends to sensationalize insignificant news pieces just for ratings.
