August 18, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai has signed reputed director Priyadarshan to direct his next venture. He will launch this latest production on the 32nd anniversary of his production house Mukta Arts Ltd. on 24th October of this year.

Speaking about this alliance, Ghai said that Priyadarshan is one of the most versatile and talented directors of today, who has won National Award for two movies, one being Kanchivaram. His movies Hera Pheri and Virasat were big hits and he has a good grasp on commercial movies too, Ghai added. According to Ghai, ‘Priyan’ is a man of commitment and he is very happy to produce a film under his direction. The makers are now finalizing the cast and crew for the movie, which will be announced very soon, a source informed.

Mukta Arts Limited was established by Subhash Ghai on 28th October in 1978. It is also involved in distribution and exhibition of television serials. Ghai has given a number of hit movies under this production house including Karma, Karz, Taal, Ram Lakhan, Pardes and Iqbal. However, the last release of Ghai Yuvvraaj under Mukta Arts could not well at the box office. The movie starred Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles.
