Amy Winehouse London, Oct 15 (ANI): The fierce rivalry between Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor is hitting an all time high, with the former signing on Brit pop legends the Bee Gees.

This will be the first TV performance for Robin and Barry ever since the death of their brother Maurice Gibb in 2003, and they will make an appearance on the BBC1 show on October 31.

Besides singing their classic track You Should Be Dancing, there is talk of Strictly’s celeb dancers performing as a group to Bee Gee hits such as Night Fever, Staying Alive and Jive Talkin’.

It appears that Strictly and The X Factor are stepping up their ratings war by booking bigger and better guests.

Strictly had singer Amy Winehouse and her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield performing on October 10, while The X Factor featured Robbie Williams’ comeback on October 11.

“The rivalry between the two shows is fiercer than ever this year,” the Sun quoted a source.

“There’s no way they’re going to share acts. If you’re on Strictly you can’t be on X Factor and vice-versa.

“Signing the Bee Gees is a huge win for Strictly. They’re British music royalty and this is their first performance without Maurice.

“It’s a blow to The X Factor but it is sure to be back with another belting name soon,” the source added. (ANI)
