Stone Roses to announce their reunion
October 17th, 2011 - 11:14 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Oct 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Members of the British band Stone Roses are reportedly going to announce their reunion on Tuesday. Several news websites carried the news on Monday. Last April, a similar reunion reports were rubbished by some leading members of the band.
The band released their maiden album in 1989. The album was self-entitled and its success propelled the band to higher grounds. The band decided to get a record label and signed a lifetime contract with Silverstone. However when relation between the band and the record label got sour, they wanted to terminate the contract. The attempt resulted in a long legal battle.
The band eventually entered into a new deal with Geffen Records and came out with their second album which was titled The Second Coming. The album which was released in 1994 was a success but the band failed to stay together after the release of the album.
Band member Reni was the first to leave the band. He was later followed by Squire and that marked the end of another band which had a promising future. The band have made several attempts to get back together with several additions being brought on board but they have failed to live up to the initial standards that they set out for themselves.
