Sting to return to Broadway
May 28th, 2010 - 4:44 pm ICT by ANILondon May 28 (ANI): Sting is making a comeback to Broadway - the Brit rocker has confirmed reports of working on a musical for the New York stage.
Sting 58, who has joined hands with Tony Award-winning songwriter Brian Yorkie to pen his first Broadway project, says the final product is yet to emerge as they are still in the process of finalising an idea.
“We’re in the very early stages of thinking about what a show could be like. I’m working with Brian Yorkie,” the Daily Star quoted Sting, as telling People magazine.
The former The Police frontman is not new to Broadway having starred in a production of 3 Penny Opera in the late 1980s. (ANI)
