steven-tylerLos Angeles, Feb 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The singer and songwriter, Steven Tyler, who has received huge popularity as the lead vocalist of “Aerosmith” has threatened to sue the band. It has been reported that the singer has been extremely disappointed when he came to know that the band is searching for a new vocalist. He had been so enraged by the act that he had warned Howard Kaufman, the manager of the band about adopting legal measures if they hire a new singer.

As per the reports, Skip Miller, the lawyer of Steven Tyler had asked the band to ‘cease and desist’ the plans of replacing Steven Tyler with a new singer if they do not want to draw legal hassles for the band, of which his client is also a member. It has also been reported that the front-man of the band has also said that the band has no right to continue with the name, “Aerosmith” if they drop him. Though the singer and his lawyer had warned “Aerosmith” of legal actions, in an interview Skip Miller said that his client does not have any intention of suing his band mates if they do not break the association. He said that Steven Tyler only wants to retain his position in the band.

Reports indicate that the entire controversy had started after Joe Perry, the guitarist of the band revealed that they are searching for a temporary replacement of their lead singer so that Steven Tyler can recover from the rehab stint, which he experienced recently. It has been reported that Skip Miller had also demanded to arrange a meeting of the stakeholders of the band for solving the issue.
