Aug 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) After much speculations and guessing it seems that Steven Tyler has finally bagged the position of one of the judges in “American Idol”. If the reports are to be believed then the lead singer of Boston based rock band “Aerosmith” has replaced Simon Cowell by signing the talent show. However, neither the representatives of “American Idol” nor the singer himself has confirmed anything yet.

The “Walk This way” singer’s name has been linked to the program for weeks but Steven Tyler recently revealed that he has not signed an official contract yet and the singer mentioned in one of his interviews that the whole idea is still a “work” in progress. However, some sources say that the singer has filled out the paperwork. The singer in his recent interview said that Fox officials would have to lay out the “bread” to sign him up for the 10th season of “American Idol”. Aerosmith bassist Todd Hamilton in one of his interviews said that the “American Idol” producers will not reveal the name of the judges until the next month, but Steven Tyler will be occupying one of the seats left by Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell.

Todd Hamilton confirmed that Steven Tyler will be the judge of “American Idol” and the paperwork is almost done. The singer also added that Steven Tyler is someone who absolutely lives to be in front of an audience and the people who are close to him know how “witty” and “entertaining” he can be. Todd Hamilton expects that the American audience will see another side of Steven Tyler in “American Idol”. However, Steven Tyler’s representative refused to comment anything regarding this matter.
