August 19, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): 62-year-old Steven Tyler happens to be the well-known vocalist of ‘Aerosmith’. He has reportedly firmed up an agreement to become a judge on the well-liked singing reality program on Fox, ‘American Idol’. A news report on Wednesday uttered this bit of news by citing one of his band mates.
Tyler would plug one of the three vacancies created on the four-judge panel of the program. The three vacancies were engendered by the exit of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres and the purported firing of songwriter, Kara DioGuardi. Randy Jackson happens to be the solitary original judge, who is likely to remain with the talent show.
Relentless conjecture for several weeks has revolved around Tyler and vocalist-cum-actress Jennifer Lopez enrolling in ‘Idol’ as its adjudicators. The program is experiencing a major reshuffle to reverse the diminishment in its viewership. National trials are already in progress ahead of the tenth installment of the show that will commence in January 2011.
Fox and the program’s producers have been quite quiet on the aforementioned conjecture. Nevertheless, the ‘Aerosmith’ bassist named Tom Hamilton has asserted to the ‘Star-Ledger’ of New Jersey that the pact with Tyler has been executed and he will be present on ‘Idol’ in 2011. Hamilton has also stated to the ‘Star-Ledger’ that Tyler enjoys being in front of an audience. Hamilton has revealed that the people attached to Steven are aware of his wittiness and funniness. Tyler can be a wonderful entertainer. Hamilton has asserted that the American populace will be able to witness another facet of the persona of Tyler in ‘Idol’.
