Steven Tyler enters rehab over painkiller addiction
December 23rd, 2009 - 5:11 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )New York, Dec 23 (ANI): Veteran rocker Steven Tyler has checked himself into a drug rehab facility for treatment of his addiction to prescription painkillers.
The 61-year-old had been taking the drugs to help him cope with numerous onstage injuries, including a fall off a stage in August.
The Aerosmith front man said that he is eager to return to work.
“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio,” the New York Daily News quoted Tyler as saying in a statement released to People magazine. (ANI)
