New York, Apr 9, (THAINDIAN NEWS) After the huge success of “Planet Earth,” Discovery network is now planning to drop in a grand series which is said to have ace director Steven Spielberg leading the direction. They have planned to name the show as “Future Earth” which shall be an animated series drawing its elements of inspiration from “Planet Earth” which was also an animated series. As the subject matter of the series, “Future Earth” shall focus upon the present condition of the planet and will also make an attempt to foresee the stand of Planet Earth in a span of 25 years, 50 years and at 100 years from the current year of 2010.

The sources for “Planet Earth” are all based upon different facts and factoids which have been collected from legendary ‘future writers’ and researchers who have been spending time researching over earth and its mystifying existence over billions of years. The program slotted for the Discovery channel is reportedly a miniseries which will hit the channel in the late months of the upcoming year, 2011. When asked about the “Future Earth” project and Steven Spielberg’s involvement with it, the president of Discovery channel, Clark Bunting said that it’s a great honor to have someone like Steven Spielberg to work in their project which is both a boost and a boon for one and all who are associated with the show.

Steven Spielberg himself told the media that he is excited to have started working with DreamWorks Animation once again, which according to him has always been his favorite as the breeding ground for all creative artists and professionals alike. Together he feels that DreamWorks Animation can easily be regarded as the best animation firm in the world.
