Wilton, Oct 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips has acknowledged that he had an affair with an assistant Brooke Hundley, who is just 22 years old, and has taken a leave of absence during the playoffs.

In a New York Post report, the 46-year-old Steve Phillips, who is married to Marni Phillips with four children, acknowledged the adulterous relationship and expressed his apologies to his family and colleagues regarding the affair.

Phillips said on Wednesday in a statement released by ESPN that he requested the leave “to address this with my family and to avoid any unnecessary distractions through the balance of the baseball playoffs.”

After Steve dumped her, Brook was understandably very angry at being dumped, so she retaliated back, with revealing details, and phone calls to his wife Marni and a letter too, in which she talked about their affair loaded with lots of steamy details. The letter also bragged about her sexcapades with Phillips while taking pot shots at their “loveless marriage”.

The jilted young woman Brooke Hundley, repeatedly phoned Phillips’ wife, Marni, saying, “We both can’t have him!” an explosive police report claims. “The tone of the text message was, ‘I care about Steve, I make him happy, and we both can’t have him,’ ” Marni said.

His wife Marni, who is also a mother to his 4 sons, has filed for divorce.
