Steve Carell to quit ‘The Office’
April 30th, 2010 - 12:55 am ICT by IANSLondon, April 29 (IANS) Hollywood funnyman Steve Carell has confirmed he is quitting hit comedy show “The Office” after one more season.
The actor has played embarrassing boss Michael Scott on the series since 2005, in a role based on Ricky Gervais’ original star turn in the British version of the show but Carell, who won a Golden Globe for the role in 2006, admits the upcoming seventh season of “The Office” will probably be his last, reports starpulse.com.
“(My) contract (runs) through next season,” he said.
Asked whether he will continue with the show after that, he replied: “I don’t think so. That will probably be my last year.”
