Steve Carell receives sixth Emmy award nomination

New York, July 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Steve Carrell received the nomination for the best actor for comedy series. This is the sixth nomination for the actor and the last chance that he has to win the award with his role in the highly successful NBC comedy “Office.”

Carell is not inviting the pressure on himself. During an interview after the nominations were announced, Carell said that “Of course, what could possibly go wrong? How could I lose?”

He confirmed that he will be attending the awards ceremony later in the year. He however indicated that he will be doing so with low expectations adding that he will not be having any regrets after the event. He said it will be great if he gets to win the award but he places the relationships that he made while on the show above the honor. Carell plays the role of Michael Scott who is the inept manager of the Dunder Mifflin branch.

Carell has other projects coming up. His latest romantic comedy movie titled “Crazy, Stupid, Love,” is due for the theaters on the 29th of July.

The nominations for the 63rd Emmy Awards were released on the 14th of July.
