Oct. 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) News reports that have been coming to light ever since the news of Boyzone star Stephen Gately was released, seem to indicate that the pop singer might have been involved in an eight-hour-long partying spree, just hours before his death. Whether or not that involved a drinking session is not made evident as of now. However, there has been news that the singer’s family has vehemently rubbished the rumors of the drinking session.

According to police reports, the results of the autopsy should be out any time soon, which would then help shed some light in to the matter of Gately’s death. A spokesman for the police reportedly divulged that the star’s body would be remaining with forensic department in Palma till the time the autopsy results are out. Other relevant fact of the death however was not dealt with.

A common report that is going around seems to indicate that Stephen may have choked on his own vomit, which might have caused his death. His partner, Andy Cowles [who was vacationing with, in Majorca] had tried to revive him unsuccessfully.

Meanwhile, the sudden death of the Boyzone band member has drawn a lot of shocked reactions from all sections of the industry, with many stars paying their tribute to the late singers. In a year when the industry has been hard hit by such deaths as that of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett, Gately’s unlikely demise deepens the spirit of melancholy further. Boyzone band mates have expressed shock and disbelief at the news of his death. According to sources, Ronan Keating has been devastated by Gately’s death.
