Majorca, Spain, Oct. 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) According to news reports from various sources, it has come to light that the former Boyzone singer, Stephen Gately has passed away. The 33 year old singer was found dead while he was on a vacation in Majorca, Spain. The incident is said to have occurred on Saturday, Oct. 10 and the reports have been confirmed by a spokesman for the Boyzone. Intricate details regarding the Irish singer’s death has not been disclosed to the media at length. It is however known that he was accompanied by his longtime partner, Andy Cowles, during his trip to Majorca.

A close source has reportedly said that, “It looks like he went out for a few drinks, then got back, fell asleep and never woke up.” The list of the people who have been absolutely struck speechless by the absolutely shocking incident extends a long way. Louis Walsh, who is the Boyzone manager has reportedly told, “We’re all absolutely devastated. I’m in complete shock. I was only with him on Monday at an awards ceremony. We don’t know much about what’s happened yet.. He was a great man.”

It has come to light that the four other remaining of the members of the band Boyzone, would be flying out to Majorca on Sunday. A source close to Ronan Keating revealed that Keating is “completely distraught” after coming to know of Gately’s death, as the latter was almost like a brother to him.

Gately is survived by the his partner [husband] Andy Cowles, who he had married in a civil ceremony in March of the year 2006.
