International Emmy AwardsNov 3, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Author Stephen Fry has found himself to be the target of the media and several female bloggers after his recent interview where he said that women do not enjoy sex. Stephen Fry said that he was misinterpreted in the article and the humorous tone was not understood by the media. The defense of his statements, however, have failed to put a stop to the battering of the renowned writer by those who were deeply offended by the comments.

Stephen Fry said that sex is the price that the women pay for a relationship in the interview and that has created a huge stir in the media. He also said that most men think that they disgust women and think that women are less interested in having sex than themselves. His remarks have also sparked off the age old debate about women and their approach towards sex. Considering that Stephen Fry is a homosexual, the debate has also found a soft target over the last two days.

One sex expert theorized that Stephen Fry’s comment was obvious to create a stir as the modern western society is known for its empowerment of women and their freedom. He said, however, that female desire for sex was more complex than their male counterpart and thus sometimes it is misunderstood as disinterest. He said that modern society ignores one of the fundamental points in a female’s sexual enjoyment that is they must feel safe. He also claimed that women enjoy sex as much as men do and are sometimes even more experimental. He said that the delay women caused between the first meeting and sex was because they need to trust their sexual partner before going to bed with them.
