New York, April 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stephen Colbert has spoken about his first sail that took him to the dreaded Bermuda Triangle back in 2005. The comedian was part of a crew that took part in that year’s Charleston Bermuda Race.

Colbert made the revelation during an interview with the magazine Outside. The interview has been published in the edition set to hit the newsstands on the 12th of April. Colbert revealed that he is ready to take the risk again come May.

The magazine quoted Colbert saying that, “Though I grew up in a sailing community—Charleston, South Carolina—I am not a sailor. I wasn’t allowed to sail because I’m not waterproof. I have no eardrum in my right ear. As a child, I imagined that if the boat capsized, my skull would fill with water and down I’d go, bow first.”

Colbert gave details about the enduring nature of the race. He said his fears of drowning in the ocean were quickly replaced when he realized that the crew had to deal with the ship’s toilet problem themselves. At that point, he joked that he rather became worried with dying from “amoebic dysentery.”
