Dec 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stella McCartney has welcomed her fourth child, Reiley, recently. Her rep confirmed the news to the media and said that the celebrated designer delivered a healthy 8 pound daughter on November 23. Reiley adds to the brood of 3 of Stella McCartney and Alasdhair Willis who married in 2003. The 39 year old daughter of the legendary Beatles singer Paul McCartney, had earlier said that she was taking a break from having babies.

Reiley is the seventh grandchild of Paul McCartney. Stella McCartney’s family now includes Miller, 5, Bailey, 3, Becket, 2 and the week old Reiley. The news of the child comes as a surprise for the fans of the celebrated British fashion designers as she said in an interview in February that needed a break first. She said that though she was excited about having more children, she recently stopped having children and wanted to have some time off. Reports indicate that the name ‘Reiley’ is a spelling variation of an Irish name that means ‘courageous’.

The designer has also announced that she will be taking a short maternity leave due to the heavy workload on her latest collection. In another recent interview, the mother of 4 said that she was planning to have a collection for children which would be affordable. She said that the inspiration for her collection came from her own large and growing family. She also said that she found it wrong that children’s clothes should be expensive only because they were designer brands. She added that she wanted to make a rather ‘timeless’ collection which can be passed down to generations.
