Starship guitarist Mark Abrahamian is dead

Norfolk, Sept 4 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Mark Abrahamian is dead at 46 years. The lead guitarist for the band Starship featuring Micky Thomas is reported to have died of a heart attack. Mark’s death comes just after his performance at the DeVent center, Norfolk.

The band broke the sad news on its Twitter account mourning the loss. The tweet read “We are shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of our guitar player Mark Abrahamian. We will miss you, brother. Rest in peace, Mark.”

Mark was reported to have told his fellow band member about “not feeling well” just after finishing the show at the DeVent center on September 2nd. He collapsed thereafter while talking to his fiancee.

The band also mourned the loss on the facebook page posting “We are all shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of our guitar player Mark Abrahamian. Mark was a kind, thoughtful and innovative soul. He was also a friend and family member. Mark also happened to be one hell of a guitar player. We are devastated by the loss of our brother and just dealing with it the best we can.”

Mark had been a Starship member for about 11 years and was best known for the classics “Built This City On Rock And Roll”, “Nothings Gonna Stop Us”, “Find your way back ” and “Sara”, “Jane”.

Mark’s funeral is awaited.
