Nov 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Young stars in the music industry proved that they are here to stay for good at the American Music Awards. Sweeping the awards was the Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber and sizzling the red carpet was the 17-year old ‘Hannah Montana’ star Miley Cyrus. While the veterans like Sheryl Crow and Fergie chose a more subdued look for the prestigious red carpet, some of the young stars chose a more wilder look for the event.

‘Tick Tock’ star Ke$ha was seen sporting a long flowy dress made with VHS tapes that sure made the heads turn. Niki Minaj on the other hand chose a festive look with the upper part of her dress appearing like ribs. Her colorful attire was complemented with high heels and gorgeous white hair. The dress was, reportedly, a ’shoot-out’ of her Trinidad roots. She added that she wanted to feel festive and have a carnival look. Among some of the early entrants, Miley Cyrus looked gorgeous in a short white backless number with a long train. Katy Perry chose a more feminine yet elegant look with a strapless light pink gown.

Iconic country music star Sheryl Crow chose a classic look for the red carpet that included a patterned maxi dress. Rihanna was seen wearing a red lacy floor length gown that was complete with her curly locks. Both Fergie and Avril Lavigne showed off their girly curves and beautiful legs in strapless short dresses. Avril Lavigne stood out with red streaks in her hair and eye-catching eye make-up. Pop star Taylor Swift chose a classy look which included a short rhinestone dress that was complemented by her straightened locks.
