Stars join ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ celebrity telethon

58774849 Los Angeles, Jan 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Beyonce and Madonna are all set to join Friday’s ‘Hope for Haiti Now’, which is a celebrity telethon for the earthquake ravaged nation - Haiti. Meanwhile representatives of George Clooney and Leonardo DiCaprio have confirmed that they will both donate $1 million each to this noble cause, so as to help the earthquake survivors.

Beyonce will perform in London, while Madonna will perform in New York. There will be an benefit show, and it will be broadcast on all the US networks, and it will be broadcast on Internet as well, for the international audience. This will be an evening show, as the organizers want more and more people to view the ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ telethon. Shakira would also perform in the ‘Hope for Haiti Now’ telethon.

George Clooney will donate $1 million to ‘Clinton Bush Haiti Fund’. Former US Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton started this fund. Besides these stars, Sandra Bullock, Bard Pitt, Angelina Jolie donated $1 million, whereas top model Gisele Bundchen donated $1.5 million. George Clooney said that “It’s first getting networks together, getting phone lines, phone banks, charitable organizations together and finding the way to get the money to them. It’s a long process of making deals and trying to get things done”.
