Los Angeles, Feb 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The trainer of the celebrities – Jillian Michaels has been sued over a diet supplement. However she didn’t take things lying down, and has instead fired back at the lawsuit, claiming that it is totally baseless. Despite the lawsuit against the product, Jillian Michaels clarified that she still supports the product, like she used to do earlier.
“My reputation and credibility are of the utmost importance to me. This baseless lawsuit is entirely without merit and is being handled by my legal team. I stand behind all my products and remain committed to helping people achieve their health and wellness goals. We believe the weight of the evidence, no pun intended, will clearly establish that Ms. Michaels and the other defendants violated consumer protection laws,” she said in a statement.
It may be recalled that Jillian Michaels was sued by Christie Christensen of Lake Elsinore, California. Christie is also seeking class-action status over the lawsuit. Christensen’s lawsuit says that she bought a product called “Jillian Michaels Maximum Strength Calorie Control” last month, which she thought would either make her appetite lessen or cause her to lose weight, as it is advertised, but neither of it happened, so she filed a lawsuit.
