Star Studded Soul Train Awards Seizes Attention, Ronald Isley Bags Legend Award

soul-traNov 30, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Soul Train Music Awards 2010 was aired on BET and Centric network and the audience loved the performance of their favorite singers. The event indeed turned out to be a star-studded one with prominent musical personalities gracing the much-awaited award ceremony. Veteran singers Ronald Isley and Anita Baker were paid tribute by the renowned contemporary as well as previous singers. Though few nominated celebrities were disappointed for missing out the award, for some it was a night of prestige and honor.

Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson hosted the show for the second time. For Terrence Howard, the Soul Train Music Awards 2010 is an advancement that the black people have made over the years. The list of celebrities who nabbed the imminent awards are B.o.B (for his song “Nothing on You”) who received the Song of the Year trophy while Melanie Fiona took home the Best New Artist honor. On the other hand, Eminem got award for Best Hip-Hop Song of the Year for “Love the Way You Lie” from his album “Recovery”. Though Eminem was not present in the show, on his behalf television anchor Wolf Blitzer received the award.

R. Kelly sang his new song “When a Woman Loves” while Ne-Yo set the stage on fire with his songs “Champagne Life” and “One in a Million”. Cee Lo Green performed his hit song “Forget You” and he also gave a tribute to Ronald Isley by singing “Shout”. Erykah Badu gave a spectacular performance by singing “Window Seat”. The other singers who rocked the stage are Eric Benet, Jazmine Sullivan and Bruno Mars.
