Los Angeles, March 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The famous television star, Star Jones had reportedly undergone a cardiac surgery and is now recuperating from the operation. According to the representative of Star Jones, the surgery was a follow-up of a previous surgery that she had undergone thirty years ago.

Thirty years ago, Star Jones had undergone a surgery after she was detected with thoracic tumor. Last Wednesday’s surgery was related to that. The surgery, according to the representative of Star Jones, was preplanned and it was also added that the surgery had been successfully completed. She is now in good health and is over coming the post surgery weakness. She has her family by her side who are helping her to overcome from the weakness. The representative also added that she and her family are grateful to her fans and well-wishers who have prayed for her well being.

However, this is not the first major surgery that the star has undergone in the last decade. Star Jones, who co-hosted the famous week day show “The View” in ABC, has undergone a gastric surgery back in the year 2003 which resulted in her drastic weight loss. She had reportedly maintained silence about the secret of her weight loss and later in 2007 revealed that it was due to her gastric surgery. The gastric problem according to many was due to her unhealthy life style. Though she has worked for many channels, viewers have not seen her presence on television for some time now except for some guest appearances in talk shows and quiz shows. Her representative has not disclosed when Star Jones plans to return to the small screen.
