Stan Lee Receives Hollywood Walk Of Fame Star

Stan LeeJan 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stan Lee whose name is associated with the creation of a number of popular comic characters people drool over worldwide, was recently given a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame. The veteran comic book creator and writer was honored at Hollywood, California. The 88 year old Stan Lee holds the record of publishing over 2 billion copies of comic books. He is associated in the creation of iconic superhero characters like X-Men, Spider Man, The Fantastic Four, The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. All these superhero characters books were published by Marvel comics. He used to be the chairman and president of Marvel Comics. The ceremony for honoring him was held at Hollywood Boulevard adjacent to the Live Nation Building.

The comic books created by Stan Lee have been published in 25 languages and they have been sold in 75 countries. A number of animation and sci fi flicks have been made on the characters of marvel Comics. The Comics legend was delighted to receive a star and said that he found it incredible to be on the same league as stalwarts like Sophia Loren and Paul Newman. He said in an ecstatic tone “I really still can’t believe it, I think they have me confused with someone else, but I’m not gonna tell them!”

His original name is Stanley Martin Lieber but now he is known by the name Stan Lee. He jokingly commented that with this honor bestowed on him he may bag more than cameo roles in movies. He has appeared in a number of cameos on screen apart from working with Marvel Comics.
