New York, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Stan Lee and MTV are joining forces to bring Lee’s newest superhero comic series “The Seekers” to life.
Lee’s POW Entertainment and MTV jointly announced the deal on Saturday. Prior to the announcement, Lee told the New York Comic Con that the new series “involves superheroes”. He said the series involved “high concept plot” that “spans centuries.”
Lee could see “The Seekers” franchise going very far. He said in the same interview that “The Seekers” is “…actually the start of a tremendous franchise”. He said he hope that the series will develop to a film or a series very soon.
However there is a hurdle to be cleared before the production of the new series could begin. MTV will hold a contest to select an artist and writer who will bring the concept to life. The successful person will work closely with Lee’s POW to make the series a reality.
Lee, who is 87 years old expressed his delight in working in digital arena. He said that it’s thrilling because it’s a whole new discipline, referring to the digital arena.
The series can be watched free on MTV’s Geek website, which was launched last week.
