Los Angeles, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) VH1 seems to have gone to an uncharted territory with a new show “Single Ladies.” For the first time ever, the network will show a scripted series when it starts airing the show on Monday.

The show features Stacey Dash along with LisaRaye McCoy, Charity Shea Kassandra Clementi and DB Woodside. VH1 is bracing up to take the challenge. The executive vice president of original programming at VH1 Jeff Olde told reporters that, “That’s why you do TV, you should take gambles… We hedged our bets pretty carefully.”

VH1 has their confidence in the series heightened after they got positive response in their test run. The network initially ordered the script and after series of developments came up with a ten-episode series which will start airing on Monday.

Olde is convinced that the show will be a success. He said that, “Carrie Keagan is great.” Olde says, “For us, it’s more about how we are redefining ourselves. … All of these pieces are part of the puzzle. I love seeing her face on the air every morning.”

In the series, a group of girls with different views and idea on sex and relationship will be the main characters. The series will be produced by Queen Latifah.
