St Elmo’s Fire to be turned into TV series

The story of the film, directed by Joel Schumacher, revolved around recent graduates from Georgetown University in Washington DC.
According to Hollywood Reporter, the new series will retain the old setting, and the restaurant from which the film took its name.
Dan Bucatinsky, the new show’s writer, thinks that the past film evoked “the feeling of bonding with your friends who become your surrogate family.”
“It’s the feeling of that time in your life when everything is possible but you can’t figure out how to make it possible,” the BBC News quoted him as saying.
Schumacher is also among the show’s executive producers, alongside ‘Spider-Man 3′ actor Topher Grace. (ANI)
