Kolkata, Nov 10 (IANS) Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan Thursday agreed to be West Bengal’s brand ambassador, sources said.
King Khan’s comments came after a request from West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who had a tete-a-tete with the movie icon during and after the inauguration of the 17th Kolkata Film Festival at the Netaji Indoor Stadium here.
“Shah Rukh has given his nod to the request,” a source said.
Earlier, Shah Rukh ducked queries from mediapersons about being questioned by Enforcement Directorate in connection with irregularities in the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Shah Rukh owns the Kolkata Knight Riders IPL franchise.
