October 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire):  Television actress  Sriti Jha aka Sandhya of Imagine TV’s ‘Rakht Sambandh’ loves being with family members during festive season. She had a great time enjoying ‘durga puja’ with her family in Delhi this year.

Sriti took an advance leave for the occasion. Last year, she missed the celebration as she had to go to Guwahati to promote her earlier serial ‘Jyoti’. This year, she did not want to miss the celebration with family so applied for the leave in advance. On this, the actress said that she did not want to put her team into trouble by asking for an sudden leave at the last moment. Sriti was quoted saying that she informed about the leave two months before the required date even though they are allowed to inform the director around 10-12 days in advance.

The actress further said that she is aware of her responsibility so she had informed in advance and to her good luck, both the director and the producer did not have any problem with that.

Sriti was very excited to return to Delhi. She said that the Chitranjan Park area in the capital turns into a mini Bengal during ‘Durga Puja’ season as pandals are constructed and lots of food stall are set up. The bubbly girl said that they had put up a stall this year to showcase Rabindranath Tagore’s library.

In fact, she had her share of ‘dhunochi dance’ too. Sriti said that it was a great experience even though she inhaled a lot of smoke. She said that the power of faith urged her to perform nonstop. An elated Sriti said that she shared her excitement with her co-star Dhruv.

The actress has also brought idols of the goddess to gift to her friends and colleague. We wish ‘Durga Ma’ has listened to her prayers and this will help her to get some popularity for her show!
