Spongebob Celebrates Ten Years Of Success With Sponge Bash

Remember July 17, 1999 when the Spongebob series was officially aired on Nickelodeon with the hilarious episode termed as “Bubblestand/Rippedpants”? It has been ten long years since then as the show celebrated it’s 10th anniversary. The series is still going strong with the premiere of eleven new episodes that is supposed to be launched this weekend.
Spongebob Sponge Bash which is considered as one of the greatest television shows of all time by the The Time magazine is a family oriented cartoon show.
Nickelodeon, who is all set to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the television’s most favorite show, will premier eleven new episodes. A documentary on the series debuts on Tuesday at the sister station VH1.
“Spongebob Squarepants” has been the most sought after show for children aged between 2 to 11 years. The show has also gained popularity among the parents, who say that they have fun while watching the televisions most sought after show. The show has already generated $8 billion as a revenue for Nickelodeon. The show has been translated to 25 different languages and draws viewers world wide which also includes the U.S. President Barrack Obama and the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, both of whom had said that they watch the show with their siblings.
Through 125 episodes and guest appearances by celebrities like David Bowie, LeBron James, Whoopi Goldberg and Ray Liotta, the show has evolved and explored other characters in order to avoid of being a repetition of itself. But the heart and the essence of the show remains Spongebob accompanied with his sweet innocence.
The immense response gathered from the show has been the reason for the longevity of the series, as Spongebob celebrates the tenth year of its success and still more to come.
