Spielberg to take broadway to TV
September 26th, 2009 - 7:57 pm ICT by IANSLondon, Sep 26 (IANS) Hollywood filmmaker Steven Spielberg is venturing into TV shows with a series documenting the development of a Broadway musical.
The “Jurassic Park” director’s ambitious project will chronicle every aspect of the stage show’s preparations, starting with script-writing through to the production’s opening night, reported femalefirst.co.uk
Spielberg is said to be in negotiations with Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, who composed the music and wrote lyrics for a live adaptation of the filmmaker’s 2002 thriller “Catch Me If You Can”.
The as-yet-untitled series is expected to air on US network Showtime.
